FUN STUFF

Don't you think it's both ironic (and mildly irritating) that everyone's theory around the talking cat in Rick and Morty is that it was an avenue for creators to try to tell fans to NOT to have so many theories and just enjoy the show. The cat continuously reminds Jerry (the dolt) to, "stop asking questions and have fun" which leads us to ask ourselves if there is a right way to love?

We don't think so, but there are some fucked up ways.

In short, we're asking ourselves (look at us, we're dicks too) if the entire Rick and Morty episode is likely a comment on how different fandoms divide and label themselves making them sound/behave like asshats. We're not gonna name names, but here are some examples;

First, there's Rick's "Ultimate Cube." When Morty hands it to him he comments "it's purple" which is apparently the same color as the one he already. Then, he tosses it in disgust. From there, Rick and Summer are watching the TV show "Ass" when Summer comments, "only the lame fans" want the two lead characters to hook up. THEN, Rick shares he feels people who like dragons are simply, "nerds who refuse to admit they're Christian" and even mocks how they decorate their bedrooms with black light posters. Even the Slut Dragon's are divided on having sex with Mammoths and butt play, tearing one another down. Oh, and Rick tears down magic scene after scene, commenting once that it's "pretty cool" before shredding the writing on the magic portal he produces with the Wizard's wand.

This is not the end of the list, but I think we're made out point that this theory about the talking cat being anti-theory might hold some water...as douchey as saying that makes us feel and sound.

So, is there a right way to love? Again, we don't think so (so long as everyone is consenting one is getting hurt, especially animals or children). HOWEVER, you CAN be a huge fucking douchebag and/or spoil it for everyone else. Exclusion isn't cool, we all know that. As much as we love fan theories here at CultSub, this possible message from the creators of Rick and Morty resonates as we feel you should be pro-stuff, not anti-stuff...and you should know your shit.

FYI, this T-shirt is made of a thicker, heavier cotton, but is still soft and comfy. You'll also enjoy the double stitching on the neckline and sleeves add more durability for many Rick and Morty viewings to come!
